The S. R. range of Control Panels are specifically designed for use with all radiant
heating systems and are available in 1, 2, 3, thru 20 zone configurations. (SR1, SR2, SR3,
thru SR20). The control housing is manufactured from zinc plated sheet steel epoxy resin
coated for durability and has a lockable hinged door. The door incorporates a tough transparent panel giving clear visibility of the recessed facia panel on which all controls and indicator lights are mounted. When the door is locked, such controls are protected from unauthorized adjustment. In the top of the housing a gland plate is provided for all incoming and outgoing electrical connections. |

A facia mounted electronic digital time switch provides up to 56 switching
instructions which can be programmed at minimum intervals of one minute,
summer/winter time changeover facility without disrupting program and
power reserve to ensure stored program will not be lost. For each zone
an AMBI-RAD facia mounted Black Bulb Thermostat control unit is provided
which incorporates a mode switch, indicator lights, output fuse and two
setting dials for selection of day and night temperatures. Indicator lights
signal "power on" to each zone and "zone running".The
four-position mode switch on each zone provides off, constant night, constant
day and automatic functions and permits manual over-ride of the time switch
program.
Up to 8 AMBI-RAD heaters can be controlled per zone by the remote mounting Black Bulb sensor. One supplied per zone. A larger number of heaters can be controlled per zone if additional relays are used for switching.

__BLACK BULB RADIANT SENSOR |
Air temperature has long been used as a convenient measure of warmth but there are many
cases where it is unsatisfactory and misleading. For example, air temperature as a measure
is unsatisfactory where surrounding surfaces are warm or where there is high air velocity. A person's bodily heat loss and hence his feeling of warmth depends on Air Temperature, Radiant Temperature of Surroundings and Air Velocity. Only by taking account of all three variables can a true measurement of human comfort be achieved. Various indices of comfort have been devised in the course of studies on environmental warmth. The index known as Globe temperature is a practical measurable indicator and has been found to correlate well with subjective assessments of warmth. |

| Because of its high sensitivity and its ability to respond
to radiation, air temperature and air velocity the AMBI-RAD Black Bulb Thermostat is able
to constantly adjust the heating system to the instantaneous thermal needs of the
building. By recognizing the true heat requirements of the human body-continuous comfort conditions are maintained yet at no time is the building overheated. By ensuring that temperature overshoot or overheating never occurs, substantial energy economics are achieved. The "black bulb sensor' is installed within the heated room or building at a height of 5ft from the floor. The signal from the sensor is fed back to an electric control unit via a three core cable which can be up to 656ft in length. The control unit can be located in, for example, a plant room, controls cabinet, supervisors office etc where it is protected from unauthorized adjustment. |
